Hi,

Any anyone had any success getting Konica Minolta printer drivers working on a Windows 11 ARM based systems?

They have a universal print driver for Windows 11 arm listed on their site.
https://www.konicaminolta.com.au/support#drivers

But when running the setup file it doesn't pick up the printer and if I try to specify the inf file within that setup file I get an "no suitable driver found"

Is there another driver I could use? even one for basic printing?

Thanks

    Hello

Driver is provided by manufacturer, not by Microsoft.

So, if Konica doesn't provide an ARM-based driver for your model, you can be out of luck unfortunately. Universal driver doesn't mean it supports ARM, it is still ARM, 64-bit specific, but it is universal in the sense that it can support different Konica models.

You can contact Konica support, ask them if they have an ARM based driver somewhere.

Or, you can look for the driver manually in Device Manager, and see if there's a list for Konica and see if there's a generic driver listed you can use.

Getting printer drivers to work on Windows 11 ARM-based systems can be challenging, especially with specific models like Konica Minolta. Here are a few suggestions:

    1. Check for ARM Compatibility: Ensure that the driver you are trying to install is specifically designed for ARM architecture. While you mentioned that there is a universal print driver listed on their site, it's crucial to verify that it explicitly states compatibility with Windows 11 ARM.
    2. Use Windows Built-in Drivers: Sometimes, Windows has built-in drivers that can work with various printers. You can try to add the printer through Windows settings and see if it detects the printer automatically without needing to run the setup file.
    3. Manual Installation: If the setup file does not recognize the printer, you can try manually installing the driver. Download the driver from the Konica Minolta site, extract the files, and then use the "Have Disk" option in the Add Printer wizard to point to the INF file.
    4. Contact Support: If you continue to face issues, reaching out to Konica Minolta support may provide additional insights or alternative drivers that could work with your specific printer model.
    5. Explore Alternatives: If the specific driver does not work, consider looking for generic drivers that might support basic printing functions. However, functionality may be limited compared to the dedicated driver.

Remember that compatibility can vary based on the specific printer model and the drivers available from the manufacturer.
