Hello! Recently I've been getting an unexpected store exception BSOD and I noticed I had 2 errors, one next to PCI device and one next to pci simple controller communications. I was able to fix the latter but PCI device still needs a driver. If anyone could helo, I'd appreciate it so I can see if that's why I'm getting the  BSOD

PCI\VEN_10EC&DEV_5229&SUBSYS_202F1043&REV_01 PCI\VEN_10EC&DEV_5229&SUBSYS_202F1043 PCI\VEN_10EC&DEV_5229&CC_FF0000 PCI\VEN_10EC&DEV_5229&CC_FF00

I'm not super computer literate so if you need any more information, please be patient with me, I'm learning a lot today lol

    Hi Tony Coffman,
Welcome to Microsoft Q&A forum. I'm happy to help.

From the device ID, it should be a Realtek Card Reader.

I find 2 drivers from HP that may or may not work with your system. See the links bellow:

    https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp96501-97000/sp96885.exe

The minidump file indicates nvlddmkm.sys file as a cause of the BSOD, which is related to the Nvidia Graphics card driver.

If you do have an Nvidia graphics card installed on your computer, try to uninstall its driver completely using this DDU free utility, then download/install the latest graphics card driver or a driver that is compatible with your computer from the manufacturer's official website:

    https://www.guru3d.com/files-details/display-driver-uninstaller-download.html

If it does not help, install an older version of the graphics card driver. Sometimes, older versions work more smoothly than the latest ones.

If you are overclocking your PC, try running everything (CPU, GPU, system memory) at their stock speeds. See if the issue is still reproducible. Turn off XMP profile or set it to Auto.

If your computer still encounters BSOD, test the RAM with the free utility MemTest86, then run a full 8 pass scan to test your RAM for physical errors:

    https://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/14201-memtest86-test-ram.html

Please do not hesitate to ask if you need further assistance.

Please go to C:\Windows\Minidump and copy any minidump files you find to your desktop. Afterward, share these files through OneDrive or Google Drive so we can analyze them and identify the specific file that's causing the crash.

    Hi ,

I'm Dyari. Thanks for reaching out. I will be happy to assist you in this regard.

Before providing any drivers and based on the provided information, this is a Realtek PCIe card reader (SD / microSD reader) commonly found in ASUS laptops and motherboards.

Can I analyze the minidump files so that I can confirm the problematic driver? Please attach the minidump files via OneDrive or Google Drive and share the link here.

Also, click Start > Type System information and hit enter > Screenshot and post it back.
