Hello Marcel Sulek,
In the context of Gemini or Copilot activities, when a file is loaded into a sandbox, that sandbox is an isolated execution environment managed by the system. It is not something you can directly browse or access like a folder on disk. The sandbox is designed to securely handle temporary files and execution without exposing the underlying storage path to the user.
If your goal is to retrieve or work with the file you uploaded or that Gemini processed, the supported way is through the interface where the activity occurred. For example, if you uploaded a document into a Copilot Page or activity, you can interact with it through that Page or by asking Copilot to search or analyze the file. There is no supported method to “open” the sandbox directory itself, because the environment is intentionally isolated for security reasons.
In other words, you cannot access the sandbox file system directly. You can only interact with the file through the Copilot features that expose it back to you, such as search, summarization, or analysis. If you need persistent access to the file, you should keep a copy in your own storage (OneDrive, local disk, or other repository) rather than relying on the sandbox.
I hope you've found something useful here. If it helps you get more insight into the issue, it's appreciated to accept the answer. Should you have more questions, feel free to leave a message. Have a nice day!
