I am a paid up home user of MS 365 and have been happily using it for over a year

All my files are in OneDrive and I access then from my Mac, from the Web, and form my IOS devices.

By suddenly its not synching and I can't login to see my files on the web - or download files on my IOS devices.

When I try to login nothing happens. - just spinning ball

I have tried credential reset, I have uninstalled and reinstalled on MAC, But I think the problem is with the account - not the local software.

    Hi,

Thank you for sharing your question, I understand how important it is to access your OneDrive files across all devices without interruptions.

Acknowledgement: You’ve explained that you’re a paid Microsoft 365 Home user, and suddenly OneDrive stopped syncing and won’t let you log in on the web or iOS, even after credential resets and reinstalling on your Mac.

That’s definitely frustrating, especially when everything worked smoothly before and your files are critical for daily use.

Reason and Resolution: This problem often occurs due to account authentication issues or service connectivity problems rather than local app errors. First, check the Microsoft Service Status page to confirm OneDrive is operational. Then, clear browser cache or try an alternate browser for web login. On iOS, sign out completely and reinstall the app. If the spinning login persists, reset your account credentials by going to account.microsoft.com, verify your subscription is active, and ensure you’re using the correct Microsoft account linked to your plan. If the account is locked or requires verification, complete any security prompts. For Mac, after reinstalling, remove old credentials from Keychain Access and sign in fresh. If none of these steps work, use Microsoft’s Support and Recovery Assistant to diagnose account-related issues.

    I hope this helps.

    Best Regards,

    Noel

To troubleshoot the issue with logging into OneDrive and syncing your files, you can follow these steps:

    1. Check Account Type: Make sure you are using the correct Microsoft account (personal or Microsoft 365) to sign in. Sometimes, users may accidentally try to log in with the wrong account type, which can cause issues.
    2. Verify OneDrive Status: Ensure that OneDrive is running on your Mac. You can do this by checking the taskbar notification area for the OneDrive icon. If it’s not visible, you may need to start OneDrive manually.
    3. Account Settings: Click on the OneDrive icon, select Help & Settings, and then Settings. On the Account tab, verify that the correct account is displayed. If not, sign in with the correct account.
    4. Credential Manager: If you've already tried resetting credentials, ensure that any credentials related to OneDrive or Microsoft 365 apps are removed from the Credential Manager. This can help resolve authentication issues.
    5. Reinstall OneDrive: Since you've already uninstalled and reinstalled OneDrive, ensure that you are installing the latest version compatible with your Mac.
    6. Internet Connection: Check your internet connection to ensure it is stable, as connectivity issues can also prevent logging in.

If these steps do not resolve the issue, you may want to check for any service outages or contact Microsoft support for further assistance.
