I am sharing our data base to integrate with a customer relationship manager but everytime I follow microsoft's instruction I get an error. The help center tells me to simply open the database, click save as and under advanced select back up database and select save as. As soon as I do this I get the following error:

User's image

I am BH-DESK-100.

What gives? How do I do this?

As Tom said, if the BE is a ACCDB file, then you can just copy it to a shared folder or email it as an attachment.

    I believe it is split.

To know for sure, in the Ribbon, select External Data tab, Linked Table Manager. It will show the back-end (BE) if there is one.
Then close your app, and use Windows Explorer to copy the BE file.

Hi DBG- I believe it is split. I just need to share the back-end. our db is static now and I am utilizing the CRM company's software to manage our data. They need our existing data to begin merging it into a temp system that will be merged into the new software once we get the bugs worked out.

They told me I just need to back it up and drop that backup in a secure cloud service called Dropbox and their integration engineers will begin the merge process but I keep getting that error everytime I follow Microsoft's backup instructions.

    Does that help?

Quick question: is your database split? Are you trying to share just the Front End?
