I was trying to login on minecraft.net with my microsoft email and it said that my account did not exist. after that i went through all the account recovery things and i finally was able to login to my account again, but it seemed to be like a different account? it was like the same email but i wasn't it the family i was in before and stuff. what im worried about is my minecraft account, like when i open the launcher i am still logged in and i can launch the game with no problems, then when i try to look at my account info and it asks me to login, i use the same email i have always used except this time it was asking me to choose a username and that stuff. so i believe that that account is no longer linked to my minecraft account. how can i see which email is linked to that account? i am also worried that someone changed the email to my minecraft account or something.

It sounds like you are experiencing issues with your Microsoft account and its connection to your Minecraft account. Here are some steps you can take to investigate and potentially resolve the issue:

    1. Check Account Recovery: Since you mentioned going through account recovery, ensure that you followed all steps correctly. Sometimes, recovering an account can lead to creating a new account if the recovery process was not completed properly.
    2. Verify Linked Accounts: You can check which email is linked to your Minecraft account by logging into the Minecraft launcher and navigating to the account settings. If it prompts you to choose a username again, it may indicate that you are logged into a different account.
    3. Contact Support: If you suspect that your email may have been changed or that there is a different account associated with your email, it is advisable to contact Minecraft support. They can help you verify which account is linked to your email and assist you in recovering access to your original account.
    4. Check Family Settings: If you were previously part of a family group, ensure that your account settings reflect your current status. Sometimes, changes in family settings can affect account visibility.
    5. Security Check: Make sure to secure your Microsoft account by changing your password and enabling two-factor authentication if you haven't already. This will help protect your account from unauthorized access.

By following these steps, you should be able to determine the status of your Minecraft account and ensure that it is linked correctly to your Microsoft account.
