The error message "The User Profile Service service failed the sign-in. User profile cannot be loaded" typically indicates that there is a problem with your user profile, which may be corrupted. Here are some steps you can take to resolve this issue:

    1. Check for Temporary Profile: If you log in and receive a temporary profile, this is a sign that your user profile is corrupted. You may need to repair or recreate your user profile.
    2. Repair or Recreate User Profile: Follow the steps in the Microsoft support article on how to fix a corrupted user profile in Windows. This usually involves:
      • Logging in as an administrator.
      • Creating a new user account and transferring your files from the old account to the new one.
    3. Permissions Check: Ensure that the NTUSER.DAT and USRCLASS.DAT files are not set to read-only and that you have the appropriate permissions to access these files. If these files are read-only, it can prevent the profile from loading correctly.
    4. Event Viewer Logs: You can check the Event Viewer for more detailed error messages related to the User Profile Service. Look under Applications and Services Logs > Microsoft > Windows > User Profile Service > Operational for any relevant events that might give you more insight into the issue.

If these steps do not resolve the issue, you may need to consider further troubleshooting or contacting Microsoft support for assistance.

That may indicate corruption in the Windows system or possibly a corrupt user profile.

Start your PC, just as Windows attempts to load (spinning dots), press and hold Power Button for 5 - 10 seconds to perform a Hard Shut Down

    Do this twice

On the third start Windows will boot into the Recovery Environment and from there you can access System Repair, Safe Mode, Command Prompt... etc.

Please try each option one at a time, then see if Windows will successfully log into your account.

    .

Go to Troubleshoot - Advanced Option - Startup Repair

See if Windows startup can repair itself

    .

Go to Troubleshoot - Advanced Option - System Restore

Check to see if you have a restore point you can go back to
