I have Verizon wireless and since the Verizon network was down, I have not been able to receive or send email on any of my devices.

To troubleshoot the issue of not receiving email on your iPhone 17 Pro Max, especially after a network outage, you can follow these steps:

    1. Check Network Connection: Ensure that your iPhone is connected to the internet. You can try switching between Wi-Fi and cellular data to see if that resolves the issue.
    2. Restart Your Device: Sometimes, simply restarting your iPhone can resolve connectivity issues.
    3. Check Email Settings: Go to Settings > Mail > Accounts and verify that your email account is set up correctly. Ensure that the incoming and outgoing server settings are correct.
    4. Update iOS: Make sure your device is running the latest version of iOS. Go to Settings > General > Software Update to check for updates.
    5. Use Microsoft Support and Recovery Assistant: If the issue persists, you can use the Microsoft Support and Recovery Assistant to diagnose and fix problems with sending or receiving emails. You can download it from the Microsoft website.
    6. Contact Verizon Support: Since you mentioned that the Verizon network was down, it might be worth contacting Verizon support to ensure that there are no lingering issues affecting your service.

If these steps do not resolve the issue, consider checking the Microsoft Connectivity Analyzer Tool for further diagnostics related to your email service.

Hello Peter Gervasoni, thanks for posting this in the community.

Perform these troubleshooting steps. Even if voice calls and web browsing are working, mobile data services used for background email sync may still be affected after a network outage. Start by turning Airplane Mode on, wait about 30 seconds, then turn it off. After that, test your email using both cellular data and a known working Wi‑Fi network. If email works on a different internet connection, the issue is likely related to the Verizon network.

You can also try forcing the mail account to re‑sync. Open the Outlook app, go to Settings, select Mail Accounts, choose the affected account, and reset it. Once done, close the app completely, reopen it, and sign in again.

    Kind regards,

    John Oli
