I would like to view message headers for an incoming email message in Outlook 2019.

I was reading this page ; but I don't know if 2019 is "New Outlook" or "Classic Outlook".

  • Under "New Outlook" it says "More Actions ..."; then "View > Message Details"
I don't see "More Actions" but I do I see "Other Actions ..."; when I click it, I do not see "View > Message Details".
  • Under "Classic Outlook" it says "File > Properties"
When I click "File", I do not see "Properties".

How can I view message headers (with "Received: from" lines?
Thanks for your time; Frank.

To view message headers in Outlook 2019, you can follow these steps:

    1. Open the email message you want to inspect.
    2. Click on the File tab in the upper left corner.
    3. In the Info area, look for Properties. If you don't see it directly, you may need to look for a button or option that allows you to access message properties.
    4. In the Properties dialog box, you will find the Internet headers section. This section contains the message headers, including the "Received: from" lines.

If you are using the Outlook Web App or a different version, the steps may vary slightly. However, for Outlook 2019, the above steps should help you access the message headers directly.
