Open the Settings App (gear icon on your Start Menu)
Go to System - Troubleshoot
Click 'Other Troubleshooters'
Run the Bluetooth troubleshooter from the resulting page
Check if Bluetooth is then working
2
If not, open Device Manager (accessible by right clicking your Start Button)
At the top of Device Manager, choose View - Show Hidden Devices
Does that show hidden Bluetooth device(s)
if so, right click and uninstall that
Restart your PC
Check if Bluetooth is then working
3
If Bluetooth is still not working, go to the support page for your PC on the manufacturers website, then from there, download and install the Bluetooth device drivers they recommend.

2026-01-17T21:03:50.41+00:00 I am also having the same issue, I updated my machine and it deleted my bluetooth, I can no longer see it in device manager and cannot run the troubleshoot either as it give me an error and sends me to a microsoft page.
I tried to roll back the update but no luck and I even went as far as to reset my full machine and still no luck.
Is there any update on a fix for this as I use my PC for work and can no longer connect my headset etc..

2026-01-18T04:48:21.2066667+00:00 Hi, look like I wasn't the only one who faced this, but my problem is now fixed. Here is the process I followed.
- Go to device manage and under bus serial unistall "Device Descriptor Request Failed" in yellow, and shut down your pc or laptop. In my case, I shut down the laptop.
- Hold and press the power button for 60 sec. After that i restarted my laptop and the problem was fixed.
