Hi, I'm Bernard, a fellow Windows user. I'm happy to help!
This is happening due to a misconfiguration of the print spooler, and for us to fix the problem, kindly follow the steps below:
We need to refresh the print spooler folder:
- Press Windows Key + R and type services.msc
- Look for Print Spooler and click on Stop Service
- Press Windows Key + R and type spool then hit OK
- Open spool folder and click Continue on the prompt
- Go to drivers > x64 and look for "3" folder
- Rename 3 folder to 3.old
- Start print spooler service in services.msc
Restart the PC and check.
Note: If the issue persists, try to remove all printer applications and reinstall the printer driver.
To remove the printer applications:
- Press Windows Key + R and type control printers to open Devices and Printers
- Right-click on the Offline printer and choose Remove Device
- Press Windows Key + R and type appwiz.cpl then hit OK to open Programs and Features
- Look for printer software that is installed and uninstall it
- Restart the PC if prompted.
