    Greetings!

This is Tin, I'm happy to assist you. Just to set your expectations, MS 365 Basic plan doesn't provide the full editing capabilities for MS Word, Excel or Powerpoint on mobile or desktop. It only includes 100 GB of secure cloud storage on OneDrive, including ransomware protection for photos and files. You can only use those apps via web instead or via browser. On your tablet, open a browser and go to https://office.com, choose MS Word to let you edit your documents. If you want full access, you need to upgrade to MS Office 365 Personal or Family.

    Summary: MS 365 Basic - storage+email

MS Personal/Family - Full Office apps.

    Thank you,

    Tin

If you are being prompted to purchase an Office 365 subscription while trying to use MS Word on your Android tablet, it could be due to the specific features and limitations of your subscription. The Office mobile apps, including Word, require a subscription that includes the Office desktop applications for commercial use.

For personal use, the Microsoft 365 Basic subscription should allow access to the mobile apps. However, if you are using a commercial version, you may need a subscription that explicitly includes the Office desktop applications, such as Microsoft 365 Apps for Business or Microsoft 365 Business Standard.

If you believe you should have access based on your subscription, consider checking the details of your subscription plan or contacting Microsoft support for assistance.
