I have had this forever and it stopped working this week. I started over. It will not activate. I have tried everything. Been on/off chat all day. They just transfer you after 30 mins then send an email saying it is resolved. I need this to work. I have lost a day of work.

    Hello

What's the full name of your Microsoft 365? Is it Microsoft 365 basic/personal/family, or Microsoft 365 business basic/stanard/premium?

Is it in your account https://account.live.com > subscription, or order history?

What's the exact difficulty when you tried to activate it? Any error message?

To activate Microsoft 365, you can follow these troubleshooting steps:

    1. Sign out and sign back in:
      • Open a Microsoft 365 app, such as Word.
      • Click on your name or profile picture at the top.
      • Select Sign out.
      • Then, select Sign in and ensure you are using your Work or School account, not a personal account.
      • Try activating Microsoft 365 again.
    2. Check your account:
      • Ensure that the account you are using is associated with a valid Microsoft 365 license. If you are unsure, contact your Microsoft 365 administrator to verify your license status.
    3. Reset Microsoft 365 activation state:
      • You can reset the activation state for Microsoft 365 Apps for enterprise. For detailed instructions, refer to the Microsoft documentation.
    4. Check for server issues:
      • Sometimes, activation issues can be due to temporary server problems. If you see an error message indicating server issues, wait a while and try again.
    5. Uninstall and reinstall Microsoft 365:
      • If the above steps do not work, consider running the Microsoft 365 Uninstall troubleshooter to remove Microsoft 365, then reinstall it using the correct version for your device.
    6. Check proxy settings:
      • If you are behind a proxy server, you may need to adjust your proxy settings. You can do this through the Command Prompt by running the command: netsh winhttp set proxy <Address of proxy server>.

If these steps do not resolve the issue, you may need to reach out to Microsoft support for further assistance.
