Hello Wayne Goodwin
On Windows 11 there isn’t a separate “Windows ID” you need to find. What you actually need to upgrade from Home to Pro is a valid Windows 11 Pro product key. The edition upgrade is handled through the Settings app, not by locating an ID.
Go to Settings → System → Activation. Under “Upgrade your edition of Windows” you’ll see the option to change the product key. Enter a genuine Windows 11 Pro key there. Once accepted, the system will perform an in‑place edition upgrade without reinstalling. If you don’t already own a Pro license, you can purchase one directly from the Microsoft Store by clicking “Go to Store” in that same Activation page.
If you’re looking for your current Home license key, you can retrieve it using wmic path softwarelicensingservice get OA3xOriginalProductKey in an elevated Command Prompt, but that key is tied to your Home edition and cannot be used to upgrade to Pro. Only a Pro key will trigger the edition change.
I hope you've found something useful here. If it helps you get more insight into the issue, it's appreciated to accept the answer. Should you have more questions, feel free to leave a message. Have a nice day!
Harry.
