PC Shutting Down Randomly Problem , I need help to fix it once and for all cause it has haunted me

Hey guys, I'm a bit sad and angry at the same time while writing this. So firstly, I will explain when did I first encounter this problem. As a mention I am a competitive gamer and sometimes I'm streaming on twitch, so I always tried to go for good PC's and always used them in long gaming sessions.

2 years ago I had a medium level PC, a RTX3070 Ryzen 5 5700G, 32GB RAM DDR4. Around that time, I started to encounter random shut downs. Mostly during games, but sometimes random aswell. As a first thought, I started to think that I maybe played too much on my PC and played high demanding games such as WoW, but then it started crashing in multiple other games such as Valorant, League of Legends (I mostly play League).

How does it happen: While being in a League match or other game's match, the message ,,Shutting Down'' appears on screen just like someone would press the button ,,Shut Down'' on windows, then after a bit, PC turns off. This was the most casual Shut Down I used to get, but sometimes on the OLD PC, the monitor would just freeze and then my PC would go into an INSTANT restart. As my first research I researched this problem ( I'm not good at troubleshooting PC problems btw) and I saw on the internet that the most common issues would be faulty PSU or overheating. Overheating wasnt the root of the problem for sure, because I had good coolers and I put my PC on stress multiple times, checked everything, I even sent my pc to a PC Service Store nearby and they said they put it to stress and it hasn't shut down while being there. My PC was a LENOVO LEGION pre-build pc, and it was pretty good besides sometimes being laggy-ish and the shut down problem, so I just thought I had a shitty PSU and that was that. But the shut downs became more and more frequent and the games became literally UNPLAYABLE and the situation was unsupportable. So I just saved some money and got a really high-end PC that I PERSONALLY built with some friends of mine that have built alot of PC's in their lives so they knew what they were doing.

On my new PC, everything went smooth. we built it with no problems, and then the PC started first try and everything worked well, no errors. I have documented and talked with MANY people about this PC for MONTHS, I have looked for every detail and compatible components, I even chose a really good PSU and I MADE SURE my CPU and GPU has enough power from my PSU.

My new PC is around 1 week old, I am very satisfied with it and it works really well. Atleast until today. I have been playing my League games as usual, and out of nowhere, as a first ,,wierd'' sign, my monitor went mid-game into a black screen, and the PC entered into SLEEP mode, with the light flickering (signaling its in sleep mode) so I just pressed the turn on button again and my game resumed, like nothing happened. I was like, okay? wierd. Then the next League match i have played, 30 min later , it happened. EXACTLY the same as my last PC, the message,, Shutting Down'' on my monitor, and PC closed. I literally got so mad and sad about this knowing that my problems didnt dissapear after all this time.

So I've documented. I've checked reddit threads, messages and posts, I even asked ChatGPT for suggestions, I checked Windows Event Logger for messages

What I've got: - After the shutdown, the only event messages i get are yellow warnings of ,,DistributedCOM'' events which I researched about, but they seem harmless from what I've seen on the internet - The HARDWARE Can't just simply can't be a problem in my opinion. Every hardware component is brand new, carefully chosen to match everything I have. - I have turned of the PCi Express from Battery Plan, I have seen this on the internet that AMD usually has this issue where this option makes the system shut down

To mention an important factor, the only things i share between the last PC and this PC are: - ACER VG271U 144hz Main monitor - LED TN Samsung 60hz Second monitor (usually i use for my stream) - Mouse Glorious Model O 2 Pro Wireless - Headset Razer Blackshark V2 Wireless

Literally those things are the only stuff in common from my last PC to this one. I don't have viruses, malwares. I have tried checking for health in files in command prompt, I have also used the command chkdsk to see if anything is corrupted but nothing is corrupted. The only idea i have in my mind that literally my wall outlet I’m using might be faulty. Or maybe is it possible that the Samsung monitor (which is pretty old) can somehow crash the system??? or maybe the other monitor? Or maybe the softwares for the peripherics? such as Razer Synapse or HyperX NGNUITY? ( I also have HyperX Keyboard).

As first try I will try tomorrow to buy an extended cable and put EVERYTHING i have in my PC from the power outlet in my wall into the extended cable, and then I will try with another outlet from my room or from another room. Besides from that, i literally do not understand what else to do, PC service can't help me. so I really need suggestions and help to solve this because I've never seen a persistent issue as this one in my life.

Please help if you can, and thank you in advance <3

P.S: I will post as photos everything i have in the new PC (the text is in Romanian but the models are in english so everyone would understand from the photo)

It sounds like you're experiencing a frustrating issue with your PC shutting down unexpectedly. Given the details you've provided, here are some potential causes and troubleshooting steps you might consider:

    1. Power Supply Unit (PSU): Since you've already suspected the PSU, ensure that it is of high quality and has sufficient wattage for your components. A faulty or underpowered PSU can lead to random shutdowns, especially under load.
    2. Overheating: Although you mentioned that overheating isn't likely, it's still worth double-checking the temperatures of your CPU and GPU during gaming sessions. Use monitoring software to keep an eye on temperatures and ensure that cooling systems are functioning properly.
    3. Event Viewer: You mentioned checking the Event Viewer and seeing DistributedCOM warnings. While these are generally harmless, you should also look for critical errors or warnings that coincide with the shutdown times. This might provide more insight into what's causing the issue.
    4. Hardware Compatibility: Since your new PC is built with compatible components, ensure that all drivers are up-to-date, especially for the motherboard and GPU. Sometimes, outdated drivers can cause instability.
    5. Wall Outlet and Power Source: As you suggested, testing with a different wall outlet or using a surge protector or UPS can help rule out issues related to power supply from the wall.
    6. Monitor Issues: While it's less common, a faulty monitor can sometimes cause issues. If possible, try using a different monitor to see if the problem persists.
    7. Peripheral Software: Check if the software for your peripherals (like Razer Synapse or HyperX NGNUITY) is up-to-date. Sometimes, these can cause conflicts or instability in the system.
    8. Memory Issues: Run a memory diagnostic tool to check for any issues with your RAM. Faulty RAM can lead to random shutdowns and crashes.
    9. Automatic Restart Settings: Ensure that your system settings do not have automatic restart enabled on system failure. This can sometimes mask the underlying issue.

If the problem continues after trying these steps, you might want to consider reaching out to a professional technician who can perform more in-depth diagnostics.

Hi, thank you for patiently waiting. After checking and analyzing the event logs, there are multiple Trusted Platform Module (TPM) errors on the PC. this is a hardware-based security embedded on your motherboard, to fix this issue, I suggest contacting the PC manufacturer to turn on or off the TPM and observed if that will sort out the problem, in addition, if you can go to your BIOS settings and turn it on or off that would be the first step, then if the issue persists, the next one is updating the BIOS, however if all fails, you might to change Boot to legacy, kindly refer to the steps from the link below provided by DaveM121:

Hi, I'm Bernard, a fellow Windows user. I'm happy to help!

Based on your inputs, it seems that the PC is a high-end device and is experiencing power loss or power interruption. Moreover, have you tried to change the PSU to a true-rated one with higher wattage?

While waiting, can you please check the System logs on the PC so I can further examine the root cause of the issue?

To share the System logs, please follow the steps in the link below:

Press the Windows key + X, then select "Event Viewer"

Click the drop-down of "Windows logs"

Right-click System > click Filter Current logs > Check: Critical, Warning, and Error > Hit OK

On the right pane, click "Save Filtered Log File As..."

Save the System logs file to your desktop and share it by following the steps from the link:
