I have a MS 365 Small Business Account as well as an Outlook account. I create a Teams meeting in calendar and send a meeting request to others. When I start the meeting as the organizer I receive a message saying that I have to wait to be let into the meeting. BUT I am the organizer. So the meeting can't commence.

    Hello

Go back to the calendar invite, and verify which email address was used to send the meeting invite.

Then when you click to start the meeting, you are supposed to select the account you want to use to join the meeting. Make sure you use the SAME user. If it is not the same, click on Change to set to the right user.

Make sure that your Outlook client and Teams client are signed in to the same account that the meeting was scheduled from, as being signed in to different accounts can also cause issues with starting the meeting. MORE INFORMATION>

If you are the organizer of a Microsoft Teams meeting and you are being told to wait in the lobby, it may be due to the meeting settings that control who can bypass the lobby. By default, external users may need to be admitted by someone already in the meeting. To resolve this issue, you can check the meeting options to adjust the settings for who can bypass the lobby.

Make sure that your Outlook client and Teams client are signed in to the same account that the meeting was scheduled from, as being signed in to different accounts can also cause issues with starting the meeting.

If you continue to experience problems, consider reviewing the meeting options or contacting support for further assistance.
