We force you to buy our car. then make it so complicated things go wrong, then we expect YOU to fix it yourself by giving you directions on how to do it, and if that does not work oh well, tough. You see, we here at Microsoft annexed computers across this country and the world, as all computers get sold with our "Windows", but you can always go to "Apple" which means you wasted your money and could well waste it again, oh well. LOOK, we need more platforms other than Windows than we can upload to our computers, they need COMPETITION, because they have none, therefore they are slack and hire these "techs" on here to pacify us. Probably Microsoft needs a complete do-over, If this software was flying a planes we'd see crashes all day long. "Oh look, the plane is not responding!"
Windows 11: Network Lan and Wifi gone after sleep
It's 2025 and the issue is back! After updating windows 11 a couple of weeks ago, my network can't come back from sleep anymore. Both lan and wifi networks refuse to wake up! The only way is restarting the computer, or doing a trick that I'll mention later.
- Updated the drivers from intel site ( mobo Asus TUF ), and nothing works!
- Turned off power management in both network adapters.
And still, after coming back from sleep, no network comes back to life!
Trick: if I turn on the mobile hotspot from my phone and connect to it from the computer, after a minute or so, the lan and wifi comes back to life. But this is a dirty trick, I wanted the sleep functioning normally, like it was before the update!
Microsoft, please! fix your windows 11 updates and for the love of lord, TEST YOUR UPDATES before launching it !!

2026-01-22T04:34:45.31+00:00 There's a new driver at this site (below), which I've just installed today. I haven't left the laptop for a long time, but this does seem to fix the problem. Not sure yet. I'll post again in a couple of days.

2026-01-14T11:17:49.31+00:00 Yes, I had it fixed for a while, but had to reinstall the driver after each update. That fix no longer works. I can offer one partial remedy in that I discovered putting my laptop into hibernation and waking it up again will restore the network adapter. Only slightly better than having to reboot. Clearly this is very low on Microsoft's priority list!

2025-08-09T10:43:46.5033333+00:00 I encountered this problem on my (HP) laptop a few weeks back and it was driving me up the wall! Following suggestions for earlier similar issues I found, I tried updating the driver, but, despite downloading an apparently later version (2024.10.249) from the HP website, the driver update (via Device manager) kept insisting that I had the latest version (2024.10.229).
The issue seemed to be when the laptop went to sleep while on but not used. When it was woken with a key touch was, I think, when the WiFi adapter was no longer visible.
Eventually I found a driver labelled 2024.10.144.0 and dated 1st Apr 2025. Since I installed that the WiFi seems to have been OK. This was from the Microsoft Update Catalog at https://www.catalog.update.microsoft.com/Search.aspx?q=windows%2011%20realtek%208822ce
No guarantees that this will work for everyone.
