Getting this error while trying to install VMware Workstation Pro 25H2 on an ARM-based laptop.
If I ignore the error and proceed anyways, then the installation halts at the following error and rolls back the installation.

Any suggestions on what to do next?

On the VMWare website, it is indicated VMware Workstation Pro 25H2 is not supported on an ARM CPU, only the VMWare Fusion software is supported on ARM, the best option is to contact VMWare support on their site to ask them if they have an installer for the ARM architecture.
