Open the Settings App, go to Windows Updates - Update History, what is the KB number of the latest update installed, is it, KB5074109?

If that is the latest update installed, this is an ongoing problem with Outlook after the January KB5074109 Update, that update is affecting Outlook POP accounts, this is being reported by many people after that update, some people have reported if you uninstall the Windows update, that will resolve the problem.

Microsoft have indicated they are working to resolve this problem caused by the update and will provide a solution as soon as possible, in the meantime, they recommend uninstalling that update.

If Outlook is not shutting down properly and you receive a message indicating that it is still open when you try to shut down Windows 11, it may be due to several reasons. This issue can occur if Outlook is still running in the background, possibly because of an add-in or a conflict with another program.

To resolve this, you can try the following steps:

    1. Check Task Manager: Open Task Manager and see if Outlook is still running. If it is, you can manually end the task.
    2. Disable Add-ins: Sometimes, add-ins can cause Outlook to hang. You can disable them by going to File > Options > Add-ins and managing COM Add-ins.
    3. Repair Outlook: If the problem persists, consider repairing your Microsoft 365 programs through the Control Panel.
    4. Registry Fix: There may be a registry key that can help with this issue. You can find guidance on this in community forums or Microsoft support articles.

If these steps do not resolve the issue, you may need to look for specific updates or patches that address this behavior in Outlook.
