Hello,

we have a problem with our teams integration on our application,

We are using a sso authentication with a microsoft account, the problem is that on the desktop of the teams we open the external links on the browser and not on the desktop, which causes us problems of data recovery.

Could you please help us to find a solution or to show us how we can force the redirection in the desktop and not in the browser

    Hi @Koussaï Mbiriki

Have you set the default open method of files to browser on the client side?

Depending on your description, here are a few things you can try:

    • In the Teams desktop app, go to Settings & more (icon in the upper-right corner) and select File > File Open Preferences.
    • From the drop-down list options, select the default app where you want to open your Office file, such as Teams or Desktop App.
    • If you're using Teams on the web, you can choose between Teams and Browser.
    • If the link is a SharePoint link, it will automatically trigger a session through the browser because SharePoint is browser-based.
