We have a brand new Office 365 tenant, and we want to create a service account to run some scheduled power automate workflows. so we want to get E1 license for this service account, and test if it will be sufficient for couple of months (2-3 months) >> then can we upgrade the license later on to let say E3 or E5 ? in other words is Office 365 license get or can be granted on monthly basis or can only be granted on annual basis ?

Thanks

Per my knowledge, Office 365 licenses can be granted on monthly basis.

You should compare Office 365 licenses and by them monthly through this website.

Subscriptions are usually annual for those ( versus a personal 365 account)

you can certainly upgrade later of course :)
