I have tried so many different key strokes to have my computer start in safe mode.

I have not been successful.

Here are a few ways to boot into Safe Mode on Windows:

    • Hold the Shift key while clicking Restart in the Start menu. This opens the recovery menu where you can access Safe Mode options.
    • Open Settings → Update & Security → Recovery, then click Restart now under Advanced startup. From there, select Troubleshoot → Advanced options → Startup Settings → Restart. When the Startup Settings screen appears, press 4 for Safe Mode or 5 for Safe Mode with Networking.

Press Windows + R, type msconfig, and hit Enter. Go to the Boot tab, check the Safe boot option, and restart your computer. Remember to uncheck this setting afterward to boot normally again.

To get to Safe mode, you want the computer to boot to the Windows log in page, then from there, click on the power icon, hold down shift key, and at the same time, press Restart. Then next screen, select troubleshoot > startup settings, then click on restart and choose option 4.

To start your computer in Safe Mode, follow these steps:

    1. Select Start > Shut Down.
    2. Select Restart, and then select OK.
    3. When you see the "Please select the operating system to start" message, press F8.
    4. On the Windows Advanced Option Menu, use the arrow keys to select Safe Mode, and then press Enter.
    5. If you're running other operating systems on the computer, select Microsoft Windows on the list, and then press Enter.

If your computer does not start in Safe Mode, you may need to troubleshoot further or check for hardware issues.
