An Azure service that provides access to a secure, dedicated Redis cache, managed by Microsoft.
Hi Rui Zhang,
Azure Managed Redis is supported only in the global Azure public cloud regions.
Currently, canary (EUAP) regions such as EastUS2EUAP and CentralUSEUAP are not supported for Azure Managed Redis. These regions are intended for early validation of Azure platform features, and not all managed services are enabled there.
Regarding Azure Government (GOV) environments, Azure Managed Redis is not available at this time, and there is no publicly announced ETA for when support will be introduced in Azure Government or other sovereign clouds.
We understand the importance of both EUAP and GOV support for pre-production validation and compliance-driven workloads. The product team is aware of this demand, but until an official announcement is made, availability remains limited to standard public Azure regions only.
We recommend monitoring the Azure Updates page for any future announcements. If this requirement is business-critical, you may also share feedback through your Microsoft account team so it can be tracked by the product group.
you can create an AMR cache in Canary. At the moment, this capability is available only in the Central US EUAP region.
To proceed, your subscription must be registered for the following:
Resource Provider (RP): Microsoft.Cache
Feature: Microsoft.Resources/EUAPParticipation
For the AFEC feature registration, please reach out to the ARM team. If you continue to experience issues after completing these steps, let us know and we’ll be happy to help investigate further
Please let us know if you’d like guidance on alternative Redis options or architectures that are currently supported in those environments.
