why is my font changing to bold when I accept changes

Yesterday everything was fine while I was editing my document, but today when I opened it, all the lines where I had accepted a change(it's a book so many changes) the fond was in BOLD for some reason and it's still doing it today. I right click on the change, accept it and the whole line goes bold for some reason. I've been searching for ways to stop this but haven't found a solution yet, what can I do?

If you want us to take a closer look, share a representative sample document which illustrates the issue. Remove any sensitive information from the sample doc, upload it to (say) OneDrive or Dropbox and post a download link in the thread.

First, see if this is happening to all documents, or just one. If it happening to only one, then the document may be corrupted. Hopefully, you have been backing up your work. If not, you can try to repair the document as described in the links below:

    https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/open-a-document-after-a-file-corruption-error-47df9d48-2165-4411-a699-1786ac734bc3

If this is happening to all documents, then you can try performing an Office repair:

Note that using a thumb drive or USB device can cause a file to become corrupted, if you do not remove it properly. See

If it happens with a specific font, maybe that font is damaged. For example, the regular font file may be damaged.
