    Hello More Rupesh,

Welcome to the Microsoft Q&A and thank you for posting your questions here.

I understand that you would like to resolve production outage due to Open AI Outage in Sweden central - what is the expected resolution time.

This is an immediate operational triage checklist (post‑incident)

    1. Confirm restoration in Sweden Central by replaying a small health prompt against your primary endpoint and verifying HTTP 200 with normal latency; Microsoft reported full restoration at 16:12 UTC 27 Jan 2026. - https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/answers/questions/5747009/azure-openai-doesnt-work-region-sweden-central on @Shikha Ghildiyal response.
    2. Review the Azure Status History entry (BMVM‑7_G) and attach to your internal incident record. - https://azure.status.microsoft/en-us/status/history/
    3. Enable/validate Service Health alerts for the subscriptions and regions hosting AOAI. - https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/service-health/alerts-activity-log-service-notifications-portal
    4. If you suffered extended impact, discuss SLA credits with your Microsoft rep (token‑generation latency SLA improvements were publicly announced in late 2024, but check your contract terms). - https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/blog/announcing-the-availability-of-azure-openai-data-zones-and-latest-updates-from-azure-ai/

However, for the sake of the future. Since the problem is production outage risk from a single EU region (Sweden Central). The solution is to design and pre‑provision multi‑region, EU‑resident resiliency with proper quotas, routing, retries, and monitoring, tailored to model availability.

This will help you with multi‑region resiliency with pre‑approved capacity, automatic failover, and graceful client behavior, removing the single point of failure that caused your outage exposure in Sweden Central.

I hope this is helpful! Do not hesitate to let me know if you have any other questions or clarifications.

    Hello More Rupesh,

Sorry for the inconvenience . Got the update on this context.

It seems like transient backend issue. Below screenshot was Noted from Azure Status earlier.

Seems to be mitigated now as per today's azure status page.

    Thank you!
