No Internet after windows update

After every other windows update or so for the last 2 weeks, my pc keeps losing internet. Windows distinctly loses the ability to support wifi, like the wifi option disappears. The drivers are still there and up to date, and the device is enabled in system hardware. If I wait for another update, I can gain internet via Tethering my phone, download the update, restart, and typically windows starts to function properly again. After NET framework update KB5074828, I have again, lost connectivity options, and there is no update to try and regain internet again. This all started about a month ago, but its not the first time, It did it once before 6 months ago, but hadn't done it over and over like it is recently. Again, this is a WINDOWS issue. Drivers are up to date, hardware is perfectly functional. When this all started, it went to geek squad, and they decided it was be to install windows fresh. First auto-update after getting it back, the issue returned.

    Hello,

Most bluetooth or wifi issue can be resolved by doing a power reset.

To do so, turn off the computer, unplug the computer from the power cord, then hold down the power button for 30 seconds. Turn the computer back on to see if it works.

If not, Can you share with me two screenshots please?

    1. Go to Device Manager > Network Adapters, I would like to see what's listed.
    2. Please type msinfo32.exe in the search on the taskbar and hit enter, then share a screenshot of the pop up.

    Thanks!

It sounds like you're experiencing a frustrating issue with your internet connectivity after Windows updates. Here are some steps you can try to resolve this problem:

    1. Check for Windows Updates: Ensure that your system is fully updated. Sometimes, subsequent updates can fix issues caused by previous ones.
    2. Network Troubleshooter: Use the built-in network troubleshooter. Go to Settings > Network & Internet > Status, and then click on Network troubleshooter. This can help identify and fix issues automatically.
    3. Reset Network Settings: You can reset your network settings by going to Settings > Network & Internet > Status > Network reset. This will remove and reinstall all your network adapters and set other networking components back to their original settings.
    4. Reinstall Network Drivers: Even if your drivers are up to date, it might help to uninstall and then reinstall them. Go to Device Manager, find your network adapter, right-click it, and select Uninstall device. Restart your computer, and Windows should automatically reinstall the driver.
    5. Registry Fix: If the issue persists, you may need to modify the registry as described in the resolution for mobile broadband connectivity issues. Make sure to back up your registry before making changes.
    6. Check for Known Issues: Sometimes specific updates can cause issues. Check Microsoft's support pages for any known issues related to the updates you have installed, especially the NET Framework update KB5074828.

If these steps do not resolve the issue, you may want to consider reaching out to Microsoft Support for further assistance.
