The GPU disappeared from the device manager on the laptop.

Literally a couple of hours after I turned off my laptop and then turned it back on, my Windows graphics card disappeared. The drivers I installed refused to work, and redownloading them didn't work. When I tried to install the drivers, I got error 0xeE6000000, or the phrase "No NVIDIA GPU is detected on your system," or "This graphics driver did not detect compatible graphics hardware." I tried updating the BIOS, chipset, and a newer Windows version, but nothing worked. Please help!

Please take these steps to troubleshoot:

  • Turn off your laptop, then hold the power button for at least 10 seconds. Your laptop will re-initiate devices and may recognize your NVIDIA GPU.
  • Use a third-party tool like DDU in Safe Mode to completely remove NVIDIA drivers.
  • Check if NVIDIA GPU is recognized again in Windows.

If above suggestion cannot help, then you may have hardware problems with your NVIDIA GPU or your laptop's motherboard. Please send your laptop to a repair center for further assistance.
