Try this step-by-step to refresh the Start menu:
Step 1:
- Right-click the Start button and choose Task Manager.
- In the list, scroll down and find StartMenuExperienceHost.exe.
- Click it once, then press the End task button.
- Still in Task Manager, find Windows Explorer, right-click it, and choose Restart.
This tells Windows to reload the Start menu without restarting your whole PC.
Step 2:
- On your keyboard, press
Windows key + R. - Type this and press Enter:
%LocalAppData%\Microsoft\Windows\Shell - A folder will open. If you see files named start.bin or LayoutModification.xml, right-click and delete them.
- Close the window and restart your PC.
This clears the saved layout and lets Windows rebuild a fresh Start screen. After restarting, try pinning your apps again.
Let me know if the pinned apps finally show up, or if the issue continues.
