Microsoft word won't let me print or save to PDF

Microsoft Word won't let me print. If I go to file->print, nothing happens. If I hit command + P, nothing happens. If I try to export to PDF, I get the error "The document 'my document' could not be saved as 'my document.pdf' ". This happens for every document I try, including new blank documents. I can print from both Excel and Powerpoint.

I've followed the instructions to uninstall (including removing all supporting files and running the license removal tool) and reinstall office, and then I ran the office auto-updater, but the problem still persists.

I'm using Microsoft Office 365, Word Version 16.105.3 (26020123). I have MacOS Tahoe 26.2.

Any help in fixing this would be much appreciated!

Hi! Please try this to rebuild printing queues often restores the print dialog in Word.

    1. System Settings then Printers & Scanners

Control-click (or right-click) in the printer list (or the empty area)

    Choose Reset Printing System

    Restart the Mac

Add your printers back (they’ll be removed by the reset)

That didn't work for me. I uninstalled/reinstalled MS Office, removed printers, restarted computer a couple times, tried with and without printers added back... I can't print or save word documents as pdf. This started after I installed macOS Tahoe 26.3
