I have an old Hotmail account that I made in 2006, I got logged out of it a few years and I’ve tried to gain access again but I can’t remember any of the recovery questions is there another alternative way to gain access again, this email is linked to all my social media I’ve tried to change the email address on my social media but it needs to send a code to my old email to confirm.

Thanks

    Hello,

If you haven't used this account during the last two years, it is unfortunately closed permanently and cannot be recovered. Sorry.

Microsoft's account activity policy is explained here:  https://support.microsoft.com/topic/microsoft-account-activity-policy-7c0a9fa7-0982-b7c6-fd72-df852b63699f

To regain access to your old Hotmail account, you can try the following steps:

    1. Account Recovery Form: Go to the official Microsoft account recovery page at https://account.live.com/acsr. Select "I forgot my password" and follow the prompts. If you don’t remember the recovery questions, you can still attempt to recover your account by providing as much information as possible about your account.
    2. Provide Accurate Information: Fill out the recovery form with accurate details, including any recent email subjects, folder names, and contacts you’ve emailed. This can help Microsoft verify your identity.
    3. Alternative Recovery Options: If you have set up any alternative recovery methods (like a phone number or another email), make sure to use those. If you don’t have access to any recovery methods, select "I don’t have any of these" on the recovery form.
    4. Contact Microsoft Support: If you continue to have issues, you can contact Microsoft Support for assistance. Visit https://support.microsoft.com/contactus, select "Microsoft account & billing," and then choose "Password reset or account recovery" to see available support options.

Please note that if the account has not been accessed in over two years, it may have been permanently deleted, and recovery might not be possible.
