Hello,
The installation ID you provided is part of the phone or online activation process that was used for Windows XP. Microsoft’s activation servers for XP have been retired, and there is no supported way to activate XP using installation IDs anymore. The official guidance is that Windows XP reached end of support in April 2014, and activation services were eventually decommissioned. Because of this, even if you have a valid installation ID, the automated website or phone system will not return a confirmation ID to complete activation.
If you require a system that still runs XP for compatibility reasons, the only supported path is to use volume license media that does not require activation, or to migrate the workload to a supported operating system such as Windows 10 or Windows 11. Continuing to use XP in production is strongly discouraged due to security risks and lack of updates.
In short, you cannot activate Windows XP today using the installation ID method. The activation infrastructure is no longer available, and Microsoft does not provide manual activation for XP anymore. The only viable option is to move to a supported platform.
I hope you've found something useful here. If it helps you get more insight into the issue, it's appreciated to accept the answer. Should you have more questions, feel free to leave a message. Have a nice day!
