I've just come out of a microsoft teams meeting and the other team members could not hear me although I could hear and see them. I looked to make sure that all options were turned on/not muted. We used to use zoom and had no trouble with that at all. I have also used skype in the past and no problems with that either.

    Hello,

Windows has a built in app called Sound Recorder. Can you launch that app, you can search for it in the search on taskbar. Then record yourself speaking, and see if you can hear it when you play it back.

If the mic doesn't work either when you use the Sound Recorder app,

    Please go through the following:

    1. Hold down Windows + R keys, type in mmsys.cpl and hit enter. Then go to the Recording tab. Do you see the Microphone? If so, please make sure it is not disable (you can right click to enable it). Also make sure it is set as default device. Then double click on the microphone, go to Levels tab, make sure it is not muted.

    1. Go to Windows Settings > Privacy > Microphone, make sure allow apps access is turned on.
    2. Install audio driver from computer manufacturer website. If you need help finding driver, please type msinfo32.exe in the search on the taskbar and hit enter, then share a screenshot of the pop up please.

To fix microphone problems in Microsoft Teams meetings, you can follow these troubleshooting steps:

    1. Check Microphone Availability: Ensure that your microphone is connected and recognized by your system. You can check this by going to your device settings.
    2. Permissions: Make sure that Microsoft Teams has permission to access your microphone. If you have denied permission, you will need to adjust this in your system settings.
    3. Unmute Your Microphone: Double-check that your microphone is not muted in the Teams app. Look for the microphone icon during the meeting and ensure it is not crossed out.
    4. Audio Device Settings: In Teams, go to Settings > Devices and ensure that the correct microphone is selected under the Audio devices section.
    5. Check System Level Mute: Ensure that your microphone is not muted at the system level. Check your operating system's sound settings.
    6. Reconnect the Microphone: If you are using an external microphone, try unplugging it and plugging it back in. This can help reset the connection.
    7. Test with Other Applications: Test your microphone with other applications (like a voice recorder) to ensure it is functioning properly outside of Teams.
    8. Update Drivers: Ensure that your audio drivers are up to date. Outdated drivers can cause issues with audio devices.
    9. Restart Teams: Sometimes, simply restarting the Teams application can resolve audio issues.

If these steps do not resolve the issue, consider reaching out for further technical support.
