Hello, I'm Quinn and here to help!

In case you might have missed it, on the Minecraft Launcher make sure you’ve selected “Minecraft: Java Edition” on the left side

If it still says “Buy Now,” the most common reason is that you’re signed into the wrong Microsoft account. Please sign out of the launcher, then sign back in using the exact Microsoft account you used to purchase Minecraft.

    1. Go to https://account.microsoft.com/ , sign in with the account you've used to buy
    2. On the left, click Order history
    3. Check if you see “Minecraft: Java & Bedrock Edition for PC” or “Minecraft: Java Edition”

If you're unable to play Minecraft Java Edition despite having purchased it, there are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot the issue:

    1. Check Your Account: Ensure that you are logged into the correct Microsoft account that has the Java Edition purchase linked to it.
    2. Game Launcher: Make sure you are using the correct launcher for Minecraft Java Edition. Sometimes, using the Bedrock Edition launcher can lead to confusion.
    3. Reinstall the Game: If the issue persists, try uninstalling and then reinstalling Minecraft Java Edition to see if that resolves the problem.
    4. Check for Updates: Ensure that your game and launcher are updated to the latest version.
    5. Contact Support: If none of the above steps work, consider reaching out to Minecraft Support for assistance regarding your account and purchases.

These steps should help you identify and resolve the issue preventing you from playing Minecraft Java Edition.
