Dear User,

Due to our recent database update, All users must update their email account to continue use and avoid termination for inactive users. To continue accessing your email account, You will need to review and accept updated Terms of service.

Is this legit? I have been getting them from several different email accounts.

This is not a legitimate Microsoft email. Microsoft never sends messages from personal or free email addresses like aol.com. All official emails come from microsoft.com domains. Do not click any links or reply. Report the message as phishing in Outlook and delete it.

    Hello, thanks for reaching out.

Microsoft does not send account termination warnings from random email addresses or give 24-to-48-hour threats to force upgrades. It's a phishing tactics, especially messages that create urgency and ask you to click a link. Do not click any links or reply. Report the email as phishing in Outlook and delete it. To verify your account, sign in directly at https://account.microsoft.com and check for any real alerts.

As part of our system updates, support for older email versions is being discontinued. Your current mailbox no longer meets our updated requirements and may put your account at high risk, which may be deactivated within 24–48 hours, if no action is taken.

To avoid any interruption, please upgrade to the latest version immediately to maintain secure access to your email.

It sounds like you may be receiving phishing emails. Legitimate communications from Microsoft regarding account updates or terms of service changes typically come from official Microsoft email addresses and will not ask you to click on links or provide personal information in an unsolicited manner. If you are unsure about the legitimacy of these emails, it is best to log in to your Microsoft 365 account directly through the official website and check for any notifications there. Additionally, you can contact Microsoft support for verification.

Be cautious and do not click on any links or provide personal information in response to these emails unless you are certain they are legitimate.
