Hello,

I am trying to deploy Sora 2 for video generation in Azure AI Foundry, but I am facing an issue with model availability.

Currently, the only available model I can see is SoraSora 2 does not appear in the model list.

What I have already tried:

Checked multiple Azure regions

  • Completed business verification / approval to get access to advanced models

Despite this, Sora 2 is still not available.

    Hi ,

Thanks for reaching out to Microsoft Q&A.

Sora 2 is not yet generally exposed in the public model catalogue of azure AI Foundry. Even with approval and region checks, availability depends on phased rollout, tenant allow-listing, and internal preview waves controlled jointly by Microsoft and OpenAI. In short: if you only see Sora, your tenant is not in the Sora2 release ring yet. You will need to wait for broader rollout or request explicit preview enablement through your microsoft account team or support ticket.

    Hello Шынгыс Жакенулы,

Welcome to Microsoft Q&A and Thank you for reaching out.

You can now successfully create a deployment of Sora 2 in Sweden Central, and image generation is working as expected in that region.

At this time, however, it is not yet available through Azure AI Foundry. It can still be accessed directly via the Azure OpenAI resource in the Azure portal, but it has not been fully integrated into Foundry yet.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

    Thank you!
