how to fix "dns probe finished nxdomain"

edge shows the above message when i try to visit any and all web pages. these webpages are all readily found by chrome, on the same machine. l have tried all the easily performed fixes to no avail.

the machine is running windows 11

    Hello,

    Open the Edge address bar and enter: edge://settings/reset

    Then reset Edge'

    This will clear incorrect configurations but will not delete bookmarks or passwords. It should be able to resolve your issue.
