My son is logged in and it has restrictions on times etc. I want to log in as myself to the laptop to approve more time etc but it only allows his user to log in. How can i get myself logged in with my outlook that i set his account up with?

Is your son the only user on this computer? If so, this is actually the wrong set up.

In order for family safety to work properly, the computer should have been set up with the organizer user first as admin, then enable to child's account after that.

To correct this, see if you can do this on his computer first:

hold down win+r keys , type in netplwiz and press enter. let me know if it lets you launch that.

To add a new user to your laptop, you can follow these steps:

    1. Open Settings: Click on the Start menu and select the Settings gear icon.
    2. Accounts: In the Settings window, click on Accounts.
    3. Family & other users: Select Family & other users from the left sidebar.
    4. Add someone else to this PC: Under the Other users section, click on Add someone else to this PC.
    5. Microsoft account: You can enter the email address associated with your Outlook account to create a new user account. If you want to create a local account, click on I don’t have this person’s sign-in information, then select Add a user without a Microsoft account.
    6. Set up the account: Follow the prompts to set up the new account, including entering a username and password.
    7. Sign in: Once the account is created, you can sign out of your son’s account and sign in with your new account.

After logging in with your account, you should be able to manage the settings, including approving more time for your son’s account.
