So I am getting into fivem server hosting those not familiar with fivem its a game server like GTAV but online with other people and I have a few questions. First is there a way I can get DDOS protection on my home server for these game servers? Second how much does it cost? The server it self will be set up at my home and I was just wondering if I can get DDOS protection for the game servers them selves

    The most effective way to protect your server is by placing infrastructure in front of it. Relying solely on your hosting provider’s mitigation is not the best approach because, like OVH, they can sometimes block legitimate clients during mitigation events.

    A better solution is to use proxy servers combined with Cloudflare to distribute traffic across multiple proxies. fiveshield.co does this very well, and it becomes even more secure when used with an OVH origin server thanks to the network edge firewall rules they provide.

    We, Lectron.com, are providing remote DDoS protection (including layer 7, application layer) for FiveM servers and all kinds of game servers. Most high profile FiveM server owners and YouTubers in Asia and a few in the United States use our service. We understand FiveM mitigation and our solution is affordable to individuals as well as corporate.

    For example, we provide 2 products: Proxy and Tunnel

    Proxy = remote reverse proxy

    • Price: $0.01/GB
    • equivalent to $10/TB of clean traffic, which is the most affordable in the market so far
    • anycast technology
    • up to capacity of 30+Tbps of Layer 4 protection capacity

    Tunnel = anycast GRE tunnel solution

    • We provide you with the /30 IP subnet for free
    • Check one of our tunnel IPs here: https://ping.pe/168.100.15.0
    • Pricing is the same, 1 cent / GB of clean traffic
    • 3+ Tbps of layer 4 DDoS mitigation

    Let me know if you have any questions!
