    Hi,

Please press Windows + Space key and ensure the keyboard is correctly set to EN-US. This should solve the problem.

If it does, not kindly send me the screenshot of installed keyboard layouts.

I’m eager to hear back and work together to find a solution.

The issue you are experiencing, where pressing Shift + 3 produces the £ symbol instead of the hash symbol (#), is likely related to the keyboard layout settings on your system. Even though your language is set to English (US), the keyboard layout may be set to a different variant, such as the UK layout, which uses the £ symbol for Shift + 3.

To resolve this, you can check and change your keyboard layout by following these steps:

    1. Go to Settings on your Windows 11 device.
    2. Navigate to Time & Language.
    3. Click on Language & Region.
    4. Under the Preferred languages section, ensure that English (United States) is selected. If it is not, you can add it.
    5. Click on Options next to English (United States) and check the keyboard layout. Make sure it is set to US.
    6. If you see any other layouts (like UK), you can remove them.

After making these changes, restart your computer and check if the issue persists.
