How can I restore my wireless mouse? It is part of a keyboard / mouse combo. It has worked for 3 years with no issues. I changed the batteries, no help. I bought a new HP710 mouse and it does not work either.

    Hello,

If the new mouse also does not work, the USB port where the receiver is connected may be damaged or may have stopped functioning for some reason.

Please try connecting the receiver to a different USB port and check whether the mouse works.

If your wireless mouse has stopped working even after changing the batteries and trying a new mouse, here are some troubleshooting steps you can follow:

    1. Check the USB Receiver: Ensure that the USB receiver for the mouse is securely plugged into the computer. Sometimes, simply unplugging it and plugging it back in can help.
    2. Verify Connection: Make sure that both the keyboard and mouse are connected to the same USB receiver if they are part of a combo. If they have separate receivers, check both.
    3. Restart Your Computer: A simple restart can sometimes resolve connectivity issues.
    4. Check for Interference: Other wireless devices can interfere with the signal. Try moving other wireless devices away from the mouse and receiver.
    5. Update Drivers: Ensure that your mouse drivers are up to date. You can do this through the Device Manager in Windows.
    6. Test on Another Computer: If possible, try connecting the mouse to another computer to see if it works there. This can help determine if the issue is with the mouse or the computer.
    7. Firewall Settings: If you are using software that could block connections, check your firewall settings to ensure that they are not preventing the mouse from connecting.

If these steps do not resolve the issue, it may be worth consulting the manufacturer's support for further assistance.
