To remove Yahoo permanently as your search engine in Microsoft Edge, follow these steps:

1. Open Microsoft Edge and click on Settings and more (the three dots in the upper right corner).
2. Select Settings.
3. Go to Privacy, search, and services.
4. Under Search and connected experiences, click on Address bar and search.
5. In the Search engine used in the address bar dropdown, select Google (or your preferred search engine).
6. If Yahoo is still appearing, you may need to remove it from the list of search engines:
   • Go to Manage search engines.
   • Find Yahoo in the list and click on the three dots next to it, then select Remove.

After completing these steps, Yahoo should no longer appear as a search engine option in Microsoft Edge.
