Can't Install WhatsApp app through Microsoft Store on my Galaxy Book 4 Laptop | Error Code: 0X80244007

Hello All,

Thanks to all who have replied/suggested a workaround.

I too faced this issue and tried the methods mentioned (wsreset.exe, installing whatsapp via command, re-register the store, flush the dns ).

The issue still persists.

As mentioned by @Cosmic Blue the whatsapp installer.exe redirects to the Microsoft Store.

Please reply if anyone has any workaround.

I solved my problem using Chatgpt. I had to re-register Microsoft Store and reset internet dns etc. Thank you for your support.

1. Reset the Microsoft Store cache Press Win + R, type wsreset.exe, and hit Enter. This will clear the Store cache and reopen the Store.
2. Check Windows Update services Press Win + R, type services.msc, and make sure these are running:

• Background Intelligent Transfer Service (BITS): Set to Automatic
• Windows Update: Set to Manual or Automatic

3. Repair or Reset the Microsoft Store app Go to Settings > Apps > Installed apps > Microsoft Store > Advanced options Click Repair. If that doesn’t help, click Reset.
4. Use Winget to install WhatsApp directly Open Windows Terminal (Admin) and run:

winget install --id 9NKSQGP7F2NH --source msstore -e

5. Download WhatsApp directly If Store-based install still fails, go to WhatsApp’s official site and download the desktop installer.
