Hi,
Since Quicken stopped opening immediately after its own software update, the issue is most likely related to the application itself rather than Windows. If other programs are opening normally and you are not receiving any Windows error messages, this indicates that the operating system is functioning correctly.
To check the Windows side, please try the following:
- Restart your computer completely.
Click the Start button > click the Power icon > Restart.
- Make sure Windows is fully updated: Go to Settings > System > Windows Update > Check for Windows Update then apply all pending.
- Temporarily disable any third-party antivirus software and try launching Quicken again.
- Right-click the Quicken shortcut and select Run as administrator.
If Quicken still does not open after these steps, the issue is likely with the recent Quicken update, and their support team would need to provide a patch or further troubleshooting. Since the problem began after their update and persists even after reinstalling, it points back to the application rather than Windows itself.
