I am getting really frustrated with Microsoft and grammarly both. I have a purchased grammarly app and have been using in Microsoft word. I was just informed that the grammarly app has been retired ! I have tried to get help in trying to resolve this problem from microsoft and grammarly. I can't get answers or assistance from neither!! I go not know where to turn to with this problem. Somewhere there has got to be an answer in getting the grammarly app back up and operational. Any help would be appreciated. I do not understand why when I went into microsoft website I was directed sign up for azure app. I have yet found out the purpose of my having sign up for the app . I would like someone to explain the steps I need to take to resolve this matter. I hope I can get a response to this issue soon!!

Grammarly appears to have discontinued its Word-specific add-in on the Mac platform (see https://support.grammarly.com/hc/en-us/articles/39667625469965-Grammarly-for-Microsoft-Word-on-Mac-was-discontinued).

However, note that there is a product called Grammarly for Mac: https://www.grammarly.com/desktop/mac?msockid=3d7c9e3dfa2d635a38908822fba26275 .

Larry, I understand your frustration. Microsoft supports installing Word add ins through Word itself. On your Mac, open Word, go to Insert > Get Add ins, search for Grammarly, and click Add.

If it doesn’t appear, your version of Word or Grammarly is no longer supported. Microsoft does not manage third party subscriptions or retire apps, Grammarly controls availability. The Azure sign-up is unrelated.

Also, Microsoft cannot re-enable third-party apps or manage their subscriptions.

For Grammarly account or app issues, contact Grammarly Support directly: https://support.grammarly.com

Only they can restore or replace the add in.
