I am worrying about my privacy.

Does anyone have any suggestions how to completely REMOVE AI from my system. I think Microslup went too far.

Is there any command or script which removes all the AI features on MY COMPUTER?

    Hi,

Officially, there's no way to remove the all AI system.

    However, you can disable it:

Go to Start > Settings > Personalization > Taskbar > Turn off the toggle for Copilot.

Uninstall the Copilot app and Microsoft 365 Copilot.

Remove Sidebar/Icon: Go to Settings > Sidebar > Copilot and toggle off Show Copilot.

    Disable Office Copilot

You can remove it via the registry, but there are risks involved.

Windows 11 does not provide a single switch or script to “remove all AI,” but several AI-related and data-using features can be turned off or uninstalled individually. The following steps focus on privacy and disabling AI-powered or cloud-backed features.

    1. Uninstall Copilot app (Windows 11)
    • Open Settings > Apps > Installed apps.
    • Search for Copilot.
    • Select next to Copilot and choose Uninstall.
    • If needed, advanced users can use a PowerShell script as described in Remove the Copilot app.
    1. Turn off online speech recognition This disables cloud-based speech services and keeps speech processing on-device only.
    • Select Start > Settings > Privacy & security > Speech.
    • Set Online speech recognition to Off.
    1. Turn off inking and typing personalization This stops Windows from building and syncing a custom word list based on typing/inking.
    • Select Start > Settings > Privacy & security > Inking & typing personalization.
    • Turn Custom inking and typing word list Off.
      • Turning this off also clears the existing custom word list.
    1. Adjust Windows Search and semantic indexing Windows Search uses indexing and, on some devices, semantic indexing. All semantic indexing data is stored locally and not used to train AI models, but indexing can be limited.
    • Select Start > Settings > Privacy & security > Searching Windows.
    • Under search options, choose a more limited indexing scope (for example, only default folders instead of the entire PC) or customize locations to exclude folders you do not want indexed.
    1. Review general privacy settings To reduce data shared with Microsoft and apps:
    • Select Start > Settings > Privacy & security.
    • Review each category (for example, General, Location, Diagnostics & feedback, App permissions) and turn off options and permissions that are not needed.
    • For more detail on what Windows collects, see the Data collection summary for Windows from the Privacy & security page.
    1. Manage other assistants (Windows 10/11) If using Windows 10 or upgraded from it, Cortana may still be present in some scenarios:
    • In Windows 10, Cortana can be hidden from the taskbar and its access to personal data can be controlled from Cortana’s Settings and Privacy pages.
    • In Windows 11, Cortana is hidden from the taskbar by default.

These steps disable or remove major AI-related and cloud-backed features available in the provided documentation (Copilot, online speech, personalization, broader data collection, and semantic search scope). Some AI capabilities remain built into Windows and apps, but with these settings, data sharing and cloud-based AI usage are significantly reduced and more processing is kept on-device.
