Signing out of Microsoft Teams is done per device; there is no single global “log out from all devices” control in Teams itself. Use these options depending on where the account is signed in:

    1. Sign out directly on each device
      • Desktop (Windows, macOS, web): Select the profile picture at the top of Teams, then select Sign out.
      • Mobile (Android, iOS): Tap the profile icon (or More), go to Settings, then tap Sign out.
      • This removes Teams account data from that app on that device, but does not affect other devices.
    2. Sign out of Teams on shared or frontline devices
      • Teams Android devices / Teams phones (managed by an admin): An admin can go to Teams admin center → Teams devices, select the device, then Actions → Sign out to remotely sign the device out.
      • SIP devices via SIP Gateway: In Teams admin center → Teams devices → SIP devices, select the device, then Actions → Sign out.
    3. Sign out of Microsoft 365/Office apps remotely (mobile/desktop)
      • From any browser, go to the Microsoft account Installs page and use Sign out of Microsoft 365 or Office for a listed device. This signs out Office/Microsoft 365 apps on that device; it may take up to 72 hours to take effect and is broader than Teams only.
    4. Remove the account from a device (Windows/macOS/web)
      • Windows (work/school account):
        • Start → Settings → Accounts → Access work or school.
        • Select the account → ManageSign out everywhere.
      • Windows (personal account):
        • Start → Settings → Accounts → Email & accounts.
        • Select the account → Remove.
      • macOS (stored credentials):
        • Open Finder → Applications → Utilities → Keychain Access.
        • Right‑click the account entry → Delete [account name].
      • Browser: Select the profile picture in the browser and choose Sign out for the Microsoft account used with Teams.

These steps help ensure that Teams (and in some cases other Microsoft 365 apps) are signed out or the account is removed from specific devices, but they do not provide an instant global Teams-only sign-out across all devices.

    Hello

Is it because you don't have access to the device, but Teams is signed in with your account there?

I saw you selected Teams free, so I believe this is personal Microsoft account?

If so, go to https://account.live.com > Security > Manage how I sign in, scroll down and click on sign out everywhere. This will eventually sign you out of Teams on that device, but it can take up to 24 hours, it is not immediate.

If you worry about your account being compromised, you might want to also consider password change.
