Hi Charles Shurtz,
I understand how frustrating it is to repeatedly fail Phone Link, especially when the pairing flow looks correct but never actually completes. Currently, Phone Link support for iOS devices is limited, as you can check in Supported devices for Phone Link experiences - Microsoft Support.
Phone Link on iOS uses a Bluetooth LE implementation (unlike Android). Not all PCs can match this, and some Bluetooth adapters will just simply deny pairing even though they work with other devices. Still, here’s some additional checks that you can try out:
1 - Bluetooth adapter reliability
- Open Device Manager > expand Bluetooth
- Identify the Bluetooth adapter (Intel, Realtek, MediaTek, etc.)
- If you’re not sure, you can share the names or a screenshot here and I can help!
2 - Update the Bluetooth driver from the PC manufacturer
- Visit your PC or motherboard manufacturer’s support website
- Search for your exact model > open Driver page/app.
- Download the latest Bluetooth driver package
- Restart the PC after installation.
3 - Reduce Bluetooth interference during pairing
- Temporarily turn off Bluetooth speakers and all other Bluetooth devices
- Keep the iPhone unlocked, screen on, and Phone Link app running
- Place the phone very close to your PC during pairing.
iOS phones are not fully compatible with Phone Link by design, unfortunately. If pairing still times out after this, you might need to wait for future updates.
