Free subscription with new Lenovo laptop

To use the free Microsoft 365 subscription that came with the new Lenovo laptop, activation is done through the pre-installed Office apps and the Microsoft account.

1. On the Lenovo laptop, open any Office app (for example, Word or Excel).
2. When prompted to sign in or activate, sign in with the Microsoft account that should own the subscription.
3. If the device includes a one-year Microsoft 365 subscription or one-time purchase, a digital product key is already transmitted to the PC. After signing in, the product is added to that Microsoft account and activated—no printed key is needed.
4. If instead a trial or offer screen appears (for example, a trial of Microsoft 365 Family or a non-subscription Office), choose the option to activate the included Microsoft 365 purchase/offer on the new Windows device and follow the on-screen prompts.
5. After activation completes, Office will be licensed on that account and can be reinstalled later from the same Microsoft account if needed.
