Hi Cody Heathcote,
I understand how frustrating that error can be, especially when you just want to cleanly remove an app. This message usually appears when the Epic Games Launcher installer/uninstaller files are missing or corrupted. Besides what Q&A Assist suggested, check out:
1 - Reinstall Epic Games Launcher, then uninstall
- Visit the official Epic Games website > download the latest launcher
- Run the installer and install it to the same location of original file
- Once completes, go to Settings > Apps > Installed apps
- Find Epic Games Launcher > choose Uninstall
2 - Manually remove Epic Games Launcher
- Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc > Right-click and end any Epic-related tasks.
- Open File Explorer > Delete the following folders if they exist:
-
C:\ProgramData\Epic -
C:\Program Files (x86)\Epic Games\Launcher -
C:\Users<your username>\AppData\Local\EpicGamesLauncher
-
- Restart the PC > check Settings > Apps again
If you’d like, let me know the exact version of your Windows, and whether reinstalling first changes the error. That’ll help narrow it down further if needed.
