    Hi Cody Heathcote,

I understand how frustrating that error can be, especially when you just want to cleanly remove an app. This message usually appears when the Epic Games Launcher installer/uninstaller files are missing or corrupted. Besides what Q&A Assist suggested, check out:

1 - Reinstall Epic Games Launcher, then uninstall

    • Visit the official Epic Games website > download the latest launcher
    • Run the installer and install it to the same location of original file
    • Once completes, go to Settings > Apps > Installed apps
    • Find Epic Games Launcher > choose Uninstall

2 - Manually remove Epic Games Launcher

    • Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc > Right-click and end any Epic-related tasks.
    • Open File Explorer > Delete the following folders if they exist:
      • C:\ProgramData\Epic
      • C:\Program Files (x86)\Epic Games\Launcher
      • C:\Users<your username>\AppData\Local\EpicGamesLauncher
    • Restart the PC > check Settings > Apps again

If you’d like, let me know the exact version of your Windows, and whether reinstalling first changes the error. That’ll help narrow it down further if needed.

The message "The feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable" typically means the existing installation is corrupted and Windows Installer can’t find the original MSI to complete uninstall.

Use these steps to repair/remove the broken installer information and then uninstall Epic Games Launcher:

    1. Try normal uninstall first
      1. Press Windows + R, type appwiz.cpl, and press Enter.
      2. In Programs and Features, find Epic Games Launcher and try Uninstall again.
      3. If the same error appears, continue with the next steps.
    2. Run the Program Install and Uninstall troubleshooter
      1. Download the Program Install and Uninstall troubleshooter from this article: Fix problems that block programs from being installed or removed.
      2. When the File Download box appears, select Run or Open.
      3. In the troubleshooter, choose Uninstalling.
      4. Select Epic Games Launcher from the list (if it appears) and let the troubleshooter repair/unregister it.
      5. When it finishes, go back to Programs and Features and try uninstalling Epic Games Launcher again.
    3. If still blocked, use Windows Installer cleanup-style steps The same type of error is documented for other apps (like Adobe products) when the Windows Installer configuration is corrupted. The resolution is to completely remove the broken Windows Installer configuration and then reinstall/uninstall cleanly. Follow this pattern:
      1. Uninstall any visible entries for Epic Games Launcher from Programs and Features (even if they fail, note the error and continue).
      2. Use the Program Install and Uninstall troubleshooter again and ensure Epic Games Launcher is removed from its list.
      3. Download a fresh Epic Games Launcher installer from Epic’s site and install it again to repair the installation.
      4. After reinstalling, go back to Programs and Features and uninstall Epic Games Launcher normally.
    4. As a last resort, manual removal (advanced users only) If Epic Games Launcher still won’t uninstall and no entry appears in uninstall lists, only advanced users should attempt manual removal, because deleting the wrong files can damage Windows:
      1. Create a system restore point first.
      2. Move any personal data (game screenshots, logs, etc.) out of the Epic Games installation folder.
      3. Manually delete the Epic Games Launcher installation folder.
      4. Optionally, use the Program Install and Uninstall troubleshooter again to remove any remaining broken uninstall entry.

Manual deletion of program files and folders always carries some risk; use it only if the automated tools cannot resolve the issue.
