Microsoft 365 Copilot Chat on m365.cloud.microsoft does not allow image uploads or image paste

I am experiencing an issue with Microsoft 365 Copilot Chat at https://m365.cloud.microsoft/chat

and also M365 Windows app.

I use Microsoft 365 Family/Premium with Copilot, and I cannot upload images in Copilot Chat. When I try to paste an image or screenshot using Ctrl+V, I get a message saying that this file type is not supported.

When I click Upload files, I also cannot select image files such as JPG or PNG.

This issue occurs in the web version at m365.cloud.microsoft/chat and windows app.

Please confirm whether image upload in Microsoft 365 Copilot on m365.cloud.microsoft is currently supported or whether this is a known issue or regression.

Expected behavior: I should be able to upload image files such as JPG or PNG into Copilot Chat, or paste them directly using Ctrl+V.

Actual behavior:

Pasting an image or screenshot with Ctrl+V does not work.

I receive a message that the file type is not supported.

  • In the Upload files dialog form windows explorer, image files are not available for selection.

Found it.... No Idea why Microsoft is doing this. Image Upload only works with M365 Copilot, when you have a school / work account.

Personal accounts are paying the same money for less.

Will cancel my Subscription and stick to ChatGPT Plus.
